Going into the first week of semester 2, the product design students were briefed on a project with regards to bikes that were abandoned within the school area. We were given a week carry on with this project. The main aim of this project was to make a whole new function to abandoned bikes. We were allowed to deconstruct them, use some parts only and do anything that has a relation to bikes. My group consists of 5 people, from different year groups. We together decided to use the bike to scan something such as buildings, people, etc while going around them in a circle. Then, the scan could produce a low resolution 3D model which could then be printed if anyone wanted. In this gif, we were trying different parts of the bike where we can place the scanner and the laptop to see the digital 3D model.
